Project description:

The Civic Focus Building is a free-standing new building containing:

  • New Council Chambers, associated public viewing gallery and press room
  • Public Atrium for civic receptions, displays and public functions
  • Mayor's offices, lounge and office for personal assistant
  • Councillors’ offices (14 Councillors) with offices for personal assistants
  • Meeting rooms

The honed concrete surface uses white sand depicting the colour of the beaches from the Gold Coast and runs into the Public Atrium.
