Major Baker & McKenzie Fitout Completed on time
Baker and McKenzie is the world's leading global law firm providing sophisticated legal advice and services to many of the worlds' most dynamic global organizations.
The Edwards fitout team completed the fitout of the new Sydney offices in December 2004.
The project was won at competitive lump sum tender. It consisted of a staged fitout in an occupied building with strict deadlines for completion of each stage and demanding quality requirements.
The special, “client service” floor on level 27 included:
- A reception area with timber floors and a granite counter; timber, fabric and glass panels and a feature timber screen
- A commercial kitchen equipped for the preparation of quality cuisine
- Boardroom and meeting rooms with strict acoustic requirements
Many of the meeting rooms contain video conferencing facilities, detailed joinery, fabric and timber paneling and extensive specialist building services. All stages were completed to program with no disruption to the client's operations.
